The Research and development centre of Amazon in Edinburgh will create new jobs by the end of 2016 as well as at the customer service centre there. In all that is around 2 500 jobs which will open across UK until the end of this year. In the research and development department of Edinburgh IT specialists such as computer scientists and developers will be hired. Edinburgh Council has always believed that investing in Art and Culture could get over the economic global downturn. Barrhead Travel is a company that owns across 56 outlets in UK, including travel agencies stores, Business Travel offices and contact centres.
The Glasgow-based company announced that they are investing to create two new stores in Edinburgh: one inside the airport, while the other in Hanover Street.
They offer 20 new jobs, most of all in the sale sector. They are looking for fast-paced and multitasking people, who have good service skills with customers and who pay attention to details. But the most important skill is to be able to work with enthusiasm.

Fashion Week to begin in Scotland’s capital
No, you’re not dreaming, fashion week is about to arrive in Edinburgh. Don’t think that Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Mark Jacobs or Prada will present new styles of “haute couture” kilts. This is the first time since 2006 that the fashion week is going to take place in Edinburgh.
In 2006, Vivienne Westwood and Matthew Williamson staged shows during a one-off festival. This time the event is promoting the amazing independent clothes shops of Edinburgh over an entire week.
The fashion blogger Laura Russell said as follows: “Having major couture designers is exciting, but for most people the clothes are out of reach. This fashion week will show what is in Edinburgh stores – and it will show just how versatile, stylish and cutting edge they are.”
Easy Jet has just announced that they are going to add 68.500 extra seats from Edinburgh on 19 routes of the company to place such as Paris CDG, Madrid, Nice, Napoli or Amsterdam.
